Went based on rave reviews, and walked out half way through, sadly. There was no resonance, not much character, not much depth, despite the good intentions. Of course, having a hard time understanding the heavy accents didn't help.

Would have enjoyed it more if one could understand the words when they were talking; missed at least 40% of the dialogue; the scottish brogue was so thick the words were hardly decipherable. Also, the most uncomfortable seats I have sat in a...continued

Although I'm sure this was a wonderful production, I left after 45 minutes with a killer headache. Dialect that was hard to understand and over the top vulgarity are not my idea of good theatre. Great venue for it though and lots of security and...continued

Everything that you hope theatre would be - thoughtful, good storytelling, imaginative direction and choreography, moving - and that much more interesting seeing it at the Armory.

Fabulous acting; great setting in the Armory. Goldstar was very service oriented in helping me with special seating as I was on crutches.

Great play, tells the story from a completely neutral perspective and leaves it to the audience to come to their own conclusions. Venue works perfectly, hope to see more shows of this type there.

i felt exhausted and somewhat abused by noise and endless use of "fuck' and 'cunt' by the end. very hard to follow the story, as it were. too chopped up. hard to see from my seat. disorganized. the choreography, however and use of the space was...continued

I thought it was amazing. I had a little trouble with the accent at first and I missed some of the words. However, my dad was Scottish so I just relaxed and got the sense when I didn't get the exact word.My seatmate was less able to translate. The...continued

It is hard to say this was a wonderful event. It was very hard to watch/experience, but that is because they did such of good job of making the experience of war real. The level of mysogeny inherent in war was especially difficult for me. I...continued

While the show is probably accurate in its gritty portrayal of a Scottish soldier's life in Iraq and the difficulty former soldiers would have re-adapting to life back at home, it generally falls more into the category of education or propaganda...continued

Yes, I know that "war is Hell". But the message could have been delivered in 15 minutes instead of hitting me over the head for 1 hour and 50 minutes.
If I had a penny for every F-bomb or "C word" uttered during the performance, I would have...continued

A wonderful staging in a fabulous venue. Yes, the soldiers curse and roughhouse a lot. If some people think war is different from that, it's not the play for them.

The Scottish accents were not too hard to understand, most of the time. And the...continued
