The production was excellent especially the player in the role of Ko-Ko! As usual the Goldstar seating was great! Unfortunately the staff at Wolf Trap will not correct those speaking during the performance and we were treated to the personal...continued

The Mikado is not one of the faster paced Gilbert & Sullivan light operas. The 3 hour performance in 2 acts was well sung, but difficult to hear the myriad of political asides.

Fabulous production! Wolftrap is a great venue. Goldstar made it affordable and easy.

Excellent production in every way. The singing is first-rate, and the music has so many familiar songs--it's just a delight.

Sets were a little weak, but other than that the evening was quite enjoyable with relevant updates to the "little List" number by Ko-Ko, and best of all - a REAL orchestra and not a synth in site. How great to hear the score performed without any...continued

We've all seen and enjoyed many amateur performances of The Mikado,
but to experience a full-blown New York professional production was thrilling.
Everything - the singing, acting, sets, costumes, lighting - was of the highest quality and...continued

Performance was as it should be. All actors sang and performed well. Seats were good, too. No problem hearing from rear orchestra. Hard to see details of faces though. Unfortunately, while nothing to do with Gold Star or Filene Center,...continued

Start typing to review your experience...Well done performance and a lot of fun. However, it was very difficult to understand the women's words. Maybe surtitles are in order?

This is a terrific company. Impossible to find anything wrong with the production. The problem is Wolftrap. It was HOT. This was the second time we attended a May performance there and the first time was HOTTER. (We were in the orchestra both...continued

Fun production with excellent vocalists. I would have preferred less schtick.

Horrible production, actors fluffed lines, kept dropping things, rediculous set. Wolf Trap is always fun, but we left during intermission.

The New York Gilbert and Sullivan company decided to make this classic more contemporary and more politically and locally relevant by substituting its own dialogue and lyrics about current events and local people and places about Washington into...continued

This was a very fun show and well done. The seats were in the far back of the theatre despite that about 1/3 of the theater was empty, including most of the much closer seats to the far right and far left. Generally, it was an enjoyable...continued
