Highly energetic and imaginative performance of this comedy classic, set in the 1950s (everyone smokes!). Diction and phrasing are wonderful by all actors, but especially by the main characters, so even a non-Shakespeare enthusiast can understand...continued

Annapolis Players' "Much Ado About Nothing" might be construed as an attempt by Will Shakespeare to write a pilot reality show for American TV in the 1950s. At times it was a wild romp, broadly, sometimes campily, acted. Most of the time, it was...continued

A unique theater tucked in the woods. Pleasantly surprising show. Slow start, but warmed well. Conrad needs to learn how to portray shattering grief, but otherwise I would recommend it to anyone who likes "Much Ado..."

The show worked. The juxtaposition of Shakespearean language into a '50's setting is a little contrived, and at times seemed only a token gesture. But interleaving pop music of the time, matched to the action on-stage was a nice touch and helped...continued

This was a fabulous production. I wasn't expecting singing and dancing numbers but was happy they were included. It added to the fun and joyous feeling of the show. This is a newer company and the theatre was not half full. But the performers...continued

This was a really fun performance! The actors were great and fully got into their roles. And the interpretation and style choices of the director (play set in the 50's) worked really well. It's a small theatre but a really great production. If you...continued

A really fun, high-energy production of a very great play, updated to the 1950's. It's been turned into something close to a musical comedy, with lots of period music and dance, which to our taste gets a little tedious after a while and distracts...continued
