Overly long and wordy, difficult to sit through. 3 acts, 2 intermissions. Even
the fantastic Tennessee was probably drinking when he wrote this. The
actors did their best, however, and the theater is intimate, the staff friendly.

Open seating presented no problems, most seats are good. Play was 3 hours long, but surprisingly after first act seemed to move very well. Acting was superb, but because of realistic portrayal some scenes were almost too vivid. I thought it was...continued

This play is typical of Tennessee Williams in portraying a bleak human landscape with down-and-out characters. From the start, you know the story won't end well. He gives us some truly low-life characters. That said, this play has more humor and...continued

glad to finally see this rarely produced play be a master. The supporting cast was largely excellent. the two leads have a Herculean task to bring these roles off. The Contess DelLago, very difficult to make sypathetic to a modern audience. ...continued

Great show! Another wonderful play by Tennessee Williams, filled with emotion, flawed characters, and some comedy.

Intense dialogue, handled very well by the actors. Highly recommended. It's long, almost 3 hours, with 2 intermissions, but did...continued

This is a wonderful production of a powerful, compelling Tennessee Williams play. Williams explores the loss of innocence as well as fading youth. The plot is somewhat lurid, but the outrageousness keeps it interesting and the acting is, for the...continued

Dan Fagan really IS Chance Wayne in this show. Not only is he physically perfect for the part, but he is inside the character's skin and takes us on a emotional roller coaster. The rest is just OK...but I highly recommend the show to watch Dan...continued

Outstanding acting!! Cramped somewhat airless venue. LOOONNGGGG play.....Would have really benefitted from a start EARLIER than 8 pm, and where 2 intermissions are nice, it made a long evening. Still worth seeing for sure if you are ok with those...continued

Some really great acting and some really bad acting. Fontana Butterfield was excellent as The Princess; a little too loud to create the kind of nuances one would hope for in that role, but projection is a tricky thing. Her face, however, was a...continued

My friend and I went to a Friday night preformance. The two lead actors, Dan Fagan and Fontana Butterfield were excellent, amazing to see how much written script in the first act alone. I thought Boss Finley was too loud in speaking his part. His...continued

As the saying goes, sometimes you get what you paid for. And at other times, you get even less. Being a big fan of Tennessee Williams, I was hoping that one of his more distinctive works would not be played so amateurishly. But, unfortunately, it...continued

The production was well cast, particularly the main characters, and their acting was excellent. A riveting and believable evening of theater -- we thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be back to Tides again.

My friends and I really enjoyed ! I was a little apprehensive that being a small, off-Geary theatre, it may be an amateurish, ramshackle production. How pleasantly surprised we were! The theatre was very comfortable. The service was...continued
