The play was very dark, but a very sad portrayal of what can and has happened when economies become depressed - their people become depressed and sick and can't see a way out. The casting couldn't have been any better and the acting was superb!...continued

Exceptional cast and play…but not for the faint of heart. This is a powerful story and absolutely engrossing. Don't miss this if you're looking for something that captivates you.

It was much darker and slower than I expected. And while the accents weren't bad, they were lacking the quick pace of Irish banter. We actually left at intermission. . .

Excellent acting; nuanced, dark, and riveting. Flawless design. Brings life to a fascinating, troubling, tragic story. No false notes in the whole production. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic production of the Beauty Queen of Leenane. The actors put their heart and soul into it. Well worth seeing and a fabulous play to watch on stage. Great after discussion w/ a member of the Roundhouse staff!

I was familiar with the playwright because of his movie "In Bruges," (which I found to be unlike any movie I'd seen) so was naturally curious about his plays. Boy, did it not disappoint! I won't say much about the story because I don't want to...continued

Sarah Marshall is an incredible actress. Her facial expressions invite the audience to stay involved with the action. We have seen her in many plays and try to see a play if she is in it. Kimberly Gilbert was terrific in portrayal of the...continued

The production was excellent, with superb acting and tech.
Round House, Bethesda, could improve their service. One member of our party who arrived at the last minute but before lights went down was not allowed to seat herself. Instead, she was...continued

Easy to buy tickets; easy to park in public garage. The acting by all 4 players was excellent. The only downside was the brogue; it wasn't always easy to understand the mother in particular.

Excellent play, excellent performances. It is very dark, in the best sense of serious drama. We highly recommend this play.

It was a touching drama of two lives caught in a situation neither could escape nor assuage.

Great acting but the play was too dark for my taste. It seemed wrong to respond to the humor because of the underlying cruelity. Actors deserve much credit. The roles must be very challenging to play.

Our first time seeing this play and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We've seen other works by the playwright, so we were familiar with his style. We liked the casting of the four actors, and the performances were all strong. Two stood out, though,...continued

This was a dark, DARK "comedy." The acting was superb, however, the Irish brogue made the dialog uninteligible. Evern after the first half, I wasn't able to understand a good deal.

Well-performed, but found the play a little disturbing. Expected more of a Harold & Maude-type dark comedy, but this was definitely dark and not so much comedy. Also found the sudden drum beats between scenes jarring. Too loud and made everyone in...continued
