The play is a little thin, but very enjoyable. It is a bit simplistic on the political side.

My wife and I attended the Master of the Art performance last evening. I thought it was OK ... My wife probably liked it a little
more than I did. The acting was good. For some reason, I thought
the subject matter would hold my interest more. It...continued

Improved upon the 2009 film "Julie & Julia" for me by eliminating the modern-day sideplot, I loved the historically informative nature of the material and the actual cooking onstage made for a uniquely multi-sensory theater experience. The actress...continued

Lovely play, well cast. Preferred it in smaller more intimate space at TimeLine though - I missed the smell of the sizzling butter! Weird thing happened with lights at end of first act. Distracting. Anyone who did not see this show at TimeLine...continued

Seats were in Row H, but way on the side.
Play was captivating. Their command of the French language was so natural sounding. We parked in Water Tower for $11 with the theater validation.

I was surprisingly awed! I love Julia Child and grew up watching her television show. I adored the book when it came out; and when they made the movie Julie/Julia I thought no one could ever again portray Julia Child the way that Meryl Streep...continued

As usual, tickets through Goldstar were great! I wanted more focus on Julia's love affair with food - more nitty gritty on what she was learning- and maybe more about her relationship with her father and less politics. But amazing acting and a fun...continued

Terrific acting! Loved Julia and her hubby both! However, I Thought the play was somewhat too long. was ready for it to be over. Dragged at the end.

The Julia character and other supporting cast were good, however Paul did not seem to fit. The play seemed to become unfocused when so much time was devoted to the woman who was being interrogated.

Several friends and I went on Saturday and loved this show. I couldn't imagine how anyone could compete with Meryl Streep, but the star of this show definitely nailed the part. The set is lovely, the acting is terrific, and the story is...continued
