The play seeks to address an issue which remains highly contentious and emotional for many people, but it's somewhat heavy handed. But - I love that Theatre J has invited audience members to write their own short plays to describe what happens...continued

We love the theater; intimate and comfortable. We had excellent seats, 4th row center, although there are no seats with less than a very good view. The theater's location, just a few blocks from either Logan Circle/14th Street or DuPont Circle,...continued

Once again, Theater J doesn't disappoint with this outstanding performance of "The Argument". This play is sexy, funny, brutal, and volatile. It is a real life relationship being peeled like an onion; layer by contentious layer to expose the fiery...continued

Really enjoyed the play. It was very intense from the very beginning to the end. The theme of the play - an unplanned pregnancy - and the feelings of both parties really resonated. As we say, it's complicated.

An intense, thought-provoking evening marked by outstanding acting, directing, set design. Theater J once again poves itself to tackle divisive social issues in an extraordinary way that makes us all the richer for the experience.

Yes, the name of the play is "The Argument" … while well done, and well acted, it was simply too much yelling and screaming for my taste.

I really enjoyed the performance. I thought it was well acted and refreshing. In my opinion, it's rare to find that the male and female positions were reversed regarding the subject matter, but I was both moved and entertained.

My 2 nieces and sister accompanied me. This play provided life lessons and provided different scenerios on how to deal with the problem. We are thought it was great.

I enjoyed the play although I found some of the action silly (e.g. the sex scene with which the play begins). The dialogue was lively and I especially liked the line about having a child being like having a farm. Although it rehearsed the...continued

The play is one horrible, unrelenting angst fest from beginning to end, with characters so self-involved and preposterous that one cannot possibly identify with them, let alone have much sympathy. If squirming in your seat for 1.5 hours while...continued
