Fair warning: purists may be dismayed by the liberties taken by this production, at least judging by the response of the woman sitting behind me who spent the intermission compiling a comprehensive list of all the things which were different from...continued

Excellent show. Emotional and entertaining the whole way through. The conceit is a little odd, but it isn't a main feature of the ballet, and ultimately it works. The dancers are incredibly talented, and it's fun to see a new take on the...continued

If you aren't already familiar with Matthew Bourne's adaptations, then this would be a bit of a shock for you. The costumes were so lush and full. The dancing was modern and fresh, for an older story and piece of music. Simply put - - I loved...continued

It was a different, interesting, creative rendition of sleeping beauty. The first half of the performance had the dancers in black leggings and that really distracted from the beauty of the dance because you could only see the top half of the...continued

This is storytelling in dance. A little less athletic than the Synetic Theatre, but probably a little more beautiful. And you can't beat the music. That Tschaikovsky.

Performance was unlike anything I had ever seen. The lead dancer was magnificent and the staging was gorgeous. My husband loved it. Not a classic ballet, but more like a combination of ballet, modern and broadway dance. Go if you have a chance!

Wonderful costumes, great dancing and coreography but the story itself was very particular.. I wouldn't recommend it for children.. It was my first time that no initial 'starting' announcement was made prior to the performance and after the...continued

Beautiful set, wonderful music, amazing dancing. I wasn't too thrilled about putting "gothic" into this fairy tale. Did we really need a vampire to make the story complete? And what was going on in that one number when it appeared the men were...continued

Not your mother's Sleeping Beauty. It really is a gothic ballet. Great sets, very athletic dancing, the story moves quickly and dramatically. The puppeteers were excellent. The drama was moving. Some might take issue with the lack of classical...continued

The show was amazing! The director's vision came through. Loved his version of the story. He is a great storyteller through this company of dancers. The dance with sleeping Beauty blindfolded was breathtaking! You could see the cohesiveness of the...continued

An amazing dance experience, updated for a modern audience, with great appeal for youngers audiences, while still keeping the older folks like me enthralled.

Time to turn in my goth card. This show was lame. I would love to have seen the puppeteers' talents put to better use. Making a fake baby crawl around and up a curtain wasn't funny, it was annoying (as were the constant sounds of fake baby cries)....continued

This ballet was one of the best full-length ballets I have ever seen. Our seats were excellent, we picked up our tickets at the box office beforehand with no difficulty, and the email response to a question I had a couple of days before the...continued
