I thought the production was good. It's a great Eugene O'Neill play, not dated, and still has a powerful message. Most of the cast was up to it, particularly the leads. I would recommend it.

I have not seen much O'Neil (although I have read several of his plays. ) I had never seen this play presented at all, and i can see why... 18 actors (only 3 women)...seems it might be hard to cast and especially get it right. But this Cast was...continued

I would never have known about this production but for a promotion on Goldstar. It was a terrific production with strong acting in all the leads. The Quotidian Theatre Company is a terrific little gem.

As noted by others, a small theater that seats a hundred successfully tackles a large, brawling, helluva play, with 18 cast members. As current-pertinent today as it was when written in 1939, produced in 1944, and set in 1912. This is what is so...continued

A must see for students and devotes of American classical theatre.
Expertly directed, beautifully cast and acted. This four-act intensely emotional experience never lagged or seemed off. Scenes are beautifully built with a brisk pace and...continued

Every person in the cast -- count 'em, 18! -- was excellent. The direction and execution made for a spellbinding, heart-rendering event, even though I have seen this play several times. Thank you!

Exquisite and intimate production. I don't know when or where you'd be able to see such a high quality production so close to the stage. Warning: It is 3 hours long so come prepared -- but the time totally flies by!

The acting in this play was exceptional. It was an enjoyable evening, and we were still talking about the play days after the performance.

This extraordinary community theater company routinely undertakes very ambitious productions of excellent classics. This play is not often performed because it requires so much of the actors playing so many characters, each of whom has a...continued

Nice little theatre, but the play really dragged on. I have to admit, we left at intermission. The first act was incredibly long. I know it's a classic, but it will not make my top 10. Acting was good. The company seems to have a senior...continued

This is one overly ambitious play. It runs about three hours and is rather didactic. I think a really, really strong cast is needed to carry the script’s weight; otherwise it risks coming off as caricature and hokey. Quotidian Theatre did a...continued

The acting & black-box theater were very pleasing, the play needs serious editing…it was almost 3 hours not including the intermission.

This classic was given a very solid performance. I had never seen it but found it gripping. Others in the audience, who had seen the classic performance w Jason Robards spoke very highly of this production

I thought the show was very well done. O'Neill is heavy material and was presented very well.
Only problem is the parking by this venue. Not easy to get parking spot even though the lot was right across the street.

This production at the Quotidian Theater in Bethesda (behind the Writer's Center on Walsh Street) was brilliantly acted. The play, like so much of O'Neill's work, is about alcoholism and the vicissitudes of life.

Like other O'Neill, it is a...continued

Generally good performance, but I found the actor playing the Parritt kid to be somewhat light weight compared to the other actors, but thinking it over, maybe that's what the role calls for. Unfortunately, if you haven't read the play in...continued
