I can always count on Matthew Bourne to produce an interesting take on ballets and operas. This was no exception. The story was reconfigured in a positive way. The costumes were brilliant. Our cast was exceptional--Hannah Vassallo is a...continued

What a fantastic production. I've watched 100's of dance concerts-and rarely like ballet. Matthew Bourne is flagrant genius! Every role is unexpected. The sets and costumes take us into the realm of fantasy grounded in all kinds of unexpected...continued

Review from Ginger Barry

Bourne is perhaps the most accessible ballet choreographer in the world, knows how to get the most out of the music and has a terrific flair for storytelling. Perhaps not his very best work (Play Without Words is his moment of true genius) but...continued

An exciting production. The seats were decent, first balcony. Easiest to park under the Music Center. I think it was $9.

as usual, the seats were good, but i was disappointed in this production, especially compared to Mathew Bournes ground breaking Swan Lake. The choreography seemed confusing and the dancing uneven, and the costumes and sets overdone.

Seat was in the VERY LAST ROW OF THE BALCONY! Couldn't have been any FURTHER away!

The first part (acts I and II) are superb. The second (acts II and IV including the ending) lack somewhat in taste, intensity, and expression but overall a delightful experience. Ms. Shaw is (Aurora) is superb. Go!

Wonderful... Seats were really good, too. The production made it much easier to follow than a traditional ballet thanks to some set pieces, more costumes (not a tutu in sight!) and projections. Some humor and wonderful costuming. It was more...continued

It is not a "ballet." That is misleading. It is a nice contemporary/modern dance production. Nice costumes. Very similar to "so you think you can dance" style of dance.

Hi,
I would have prefer a closer seat to the stage and shorter distance to the restroom. As a handicap, it is hard to be placed far from the restrooms, especially when the intermission time given is very short!!
I think the Box office should make...continued

The was the most beautiful spectacle I have seen (in a not over the top special effects complete with yada yada yada etc kind of way). The sets were beautiful, the costumes were beautiful, the dancing was beautiful. I loved how the dancers were...continued

Unlike the traditional Matthew Bourne's production, clever, fresh, unique, humorous and full of twists; Sleeping Beauty unfortunately fell a bit flat for me. Granted I understand that it's an homage to the traditional ballet, don't get me wrong,...continued

Very imaginative story and staging, lovely dancing. I could have done without the Twilight-y angle. Also, the recorded music was a bit blare-ey. But overall, Bourne's work is always worth seeing and I am glad I went-- the seats were great.

What a wonderful version, unpredictable, suspenseful, with a sense of humor where needed. The costumes, sets and lighting were amazing, we all enjoyed this production and left happily with the beautiful visions we had just seen leaping through...continued
