It was marvelous. I have been a Matthew Bourne fan for years, seen 5 of his shows and enjoyed every one. His work is so creative. The dancers are so very talented - the costumes and sets wonderful.

Really wonderful beautiful evening. If you like "SYTYCD-So You Think You Can Dance" or you like ballet and don't need to see toe shoes, you will find this a rewarding event. The wonderful costumes, delightful staging and story are typical...continued

Matthew Bourne definitely delivers. I was completely in awe of the performance and the modern & vampire twist to the story. The stage backdrops are gorgeous and the dancers do an excellent job at interpreting their roles. Overall it was a pleasant...continued

I am not a big fan of ballet, and I absolutely loved this! It's a fresh twist with beautiful sets, costumes, and choreography. I definitely want to see Matthew Bourne's other works now!

I feel Goldstar misrepresented the value of the $80 tickets I purchased for $50 a piece. Having attended a number of shows at the Ahmanson, orchestra tickets are around $80. These $50 tickets were mezzanine, third row from the top on the far...continued

This was a beautiful production. Smooth ticket pickup, good center seats, and a terrific afternoon! Took my second-grade daughter and she was on the edge of her seat the whole time, smiling, applauding, absolutely loved. We both enjoyed it...continued

I'm a lover of classical ballet and am pleased that it is finding a renewed interest--I danced when I was younger and in college and now my 8 year old follows in my footsteps. I was very intrigued when I read about Matthew Bourne's unusual...continued

This ballet was poorly done in my opinion. The music stopped off in weird places, it was confusing, the incorporation of fairies and vampires was not explained at all. Didn't fall in love with the main character at all. None of the approaches were...continued

"Sleeping Beauty" is a problematic fairy tale, and the original ballet did little to fix the problems with the source material. In the same fashion that he "fixed" "The Nutcracker," Matthew Bourne made adjustments to his interpretation of "The...continued

Exceptional production and the seats were great

So glad this event was listed on the Orange County site as well as the LA. I wish more of the big stuff in LA crossed over onto the Orange County list as well.

I took my teenage daughter and she loved it! It was a great mix of traditional ballet and the modern gothic costuming and movement.

Our seats were positioned well to see the full scope of the ballet. It was marvelous, Matthew Bourne's genius is that he creates witty, daring and original ballets that are totally involving and original. It was a wonderful production.

Wonderful production on a par with Bourne's Swan Lake. Seats were almost center and great view.

Am a great fan of Bourne and his company. Loved his Swan Lake and was dazzled by Sleeping Beauty before the intermission. Unfortunately, after that, I felt that the work was not as interesting and in fact, I felt it was trite and repetitive with...continued

I absolutely LOVED the performance. However, didn't like my seat at all! Was squeezed in a corner (last seat next to the wall) in the last mezzanine row (P). For $50 plus almost $10 fee - that wasn't such a bargain!
