How can I enjoy 50 shades with an openly gay guy in the lead.
Simply stupid!

Great venue! The script was very clever and the songs adorable, but we couldn't get past the poor attire of the cast nor the fact that Christian was not appealing….the character should not have been played by an overweight actor….it didn't make...continued

Show was absolutely hilarious! Loved it! But a bit disturbed by character that played Christian.....
Convenient free parking across the street at city hall and great little restaurants right around the corner! Awesome girls night out!!!

I haven't read the book and I'm not female, so I am probably not the target demographic for this show. Still, funny is funny so I was hoping for a solid entertainment. The highlight was definitely the three "book club ladies" who between them...continued

Wonderful experience. First row is pretty scary. Cast was great. Completely unexpected interpretation. Verbally graphic so not for auditory whimps

I believe those who read the book would probably enjoy it a lot better than those who didn't. I read it, but my husband didn't and yet, he had a good time just the same. The women sang beautifully. It's a silly, funny, must-see show that's...continued

I loved the seats Goldstar provided. First Row. But the play is intended for people who have read the books, and alas, I had not.
Talented cast, but I left after the intermission. I had seen enough.

We had seats in the first row just off the center. They were fantastic seats. The audience was about 75% female, i.e. only 25 % came with a male escort, the other 50% came with other women who really seemed to be enjoying the show. I thought it...continued

fun crowd, good singing and dancing by the cast. Sometimes the play reaches a little too far into the gutter to get a laugh...

It was our first time at the Kirk Douglas theatre and was not let down by the venue or production. 50 Shades! was hilarious!! Though I tend to get bored with musicals, the lyrics were well thought out and extremely funny. When I saw the set I...continued

very funny, excellent cast with perfect comedic timing, and great voices. The play could use a few more bodies on stage, and few more poignant numbers about women empowerment/finding the inner goddess/ resolution of the void one feels in life.

I smiled and laughed throughout the entire play. It's especially enjoyable if you have read the book. They even did a parody on the women who read the book - really cute. All the actors were engaging and funny. I gave it four stars only because it...continued

Well performed - Women are excellent singers and most men are very attractive. However, the script ranges from okay to silly (the high-pitched cackling women reminded me of the drinking carebears in Avenue Q). I know it is a parody, but why the...continued

Just had a blast. Parking was easy around the venue, had a lovely nibble at a sushi restaurant behind the theatre and enjoyed the show entirely. Certainly not for everyone, but the crowd in attendance was totally having a grand time.
