Performances & staging were excellent - but Kathleen Turner's singing voice suffered in comparison to other actors in cast. Not even necessarily with quality - she more spoke the singing which could have worked - but she lacked sufficient...continued

Powerful yet at times funny. As always at Arena Stage much dialogue is lost when a character is facing away from you. It's quite evident when 3/4 of the audience laughs and the other 1/4 remains silent. Staging as always is very imaginative....continued

The show has heart. The new American English translation is great. It remains an agitprop piece, but it is a good show with heart in this production. I saw a matinee for which the house was nearly half empty. I couldn't help but sense that at...continued

Fantastic production of an excellent play. All performers outstanding, with special kudos to Kathleen Turner and Erin Weaver. Highly recommended!

It was great being back a Arena Stage after a couple years. It is so much easier to get there with the Metro, than it used to be, and the neighborhood is looking much nicer. The play was very enjoyable, but I was a little disappointed in...continued

One of the best productions we've seen in a long time. Ms. Turner was superb, edgy, and the ensemble, sets, costumes, props, music and even the cannons (have I missed anything?) were fabulous. Should not be missed!!

Good but not fantastic. The story was interesting, but not as cerebral as I thought it might be. There were some intermittent issues with the sound. I would still recommend, as it is always interesting to see the famous actors/actresses in person.

Innovative combination of music, staging, dialogue that is sharp, clear, and so effective on the cumulative effects of long term civil and religious wars.. The actors who can play instruments as well as be actors are wonderful in integrating the...continued

Did not enjoy the dialogue of the play, did not like most of the acting, the singing by two younger singers was amazing however and the instrumentalists were fine as was the music.

Easy ticket purchase. Easy ticket pickup. good seats.

Play was long: over at 10:15!
Ms. Turner's role was continuous, large cast, convoluted script. Interesting play, but not easy to enjoy.

This was a wonderful play. We had great seats right at the front, and Kathleen Turner gave an amazing performance. It kept your attention from beginning to end.

We had the bests seats in the house. First row, right in front of the amazing action. Kathleen Turner was a tour de force, and seeing her up close was an additional bonus.
