This would have been a great experience if it wasn't for the stobe lights, which almost ruined the entire experience. we have been to hundreds of plays and concerts with strobe lights, smoke, loud noises etc., but the strobe lights in this...continued

The best part of the show was the music. The singers were talented enough. But the storyline was pretty depressing and not what I'd really want to see (people shooting up heroin, no thanks) for entertainment. I also was just bored at times. I was...continued

A brief description in the playbill would have helped. It was disjointed in the beginning and hard to follow. There really is no dialogue everything is sung, which makes it difficult to understand everything that is said.

Our seats were good, but bring your sunglasses. The strobes are directly at balcony level and non-stop. The speaker towers also block 1/3 of the stage.

Good touring company. Having seen it on Broadway, I was curious to see what changes they needed to make. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is some of the singing was 'off' a few times.

If you didn't see American Idiot when it was on Broadway, it...continued

Energetic and poignant story of lost youth and lost dreams. Loved it so much I bought the CD afterward and waited at the backstage door to say hello to the cast!

The songs were great, but sometimes hard to hear over the volume of the music. Terrific set design and good choreography. Some of the performers had stronger voices than others. One change could definitely improve the show: reduce the strobe - it...continued

An intense version of HAIR for the 90's. Each side orchestra seat has 1/3 of the action blocked by speaker towers as staging frequently occurs near the wings. Lots of rebellious, youthful energy, punk rock dancing, and guitar licks.

The show was incredibly entertaining, although it was hard to keep track of the story line, it didn't matter beccause the music and dancing was so entertaining! I had expected something a little more like Mama Mia with a realy story line, and...continued

My Goldstar seat was very good (Row T - Orch Left - on the center aisle).

I had never seen American Idiot before. Like all rock musicals, some of the lyrics were obscured by music occasionally, but overall I really enjoyed this show and this...continued

Fantastic -- fast-paced and electric. Really great contemporary musical. Would not recommend for people with seizure disorders or migraines. The use of strobes, blinking lights and multiple screens could cause health issues.

High energy, very little dialog . Dark at moments. Not for young viewers. I would have liked a bit more character development . With that being said, My 17yr daughter and I really enjoyed it. Cast was great, music amazing.

Energetic cast that brought the songs to life. Best choreography I have seen in a long time. It is almost tribal dance at times. It conveys the frustration and anger of the characters Some of the memorable numbers were Wake Me Up When...continued

It was a rollicking good event. We had excellent center orchestra seats (assigned at the theater). I'd only mention that orchestra seating is not banked very much so my sight-line wasn't very good, despite the excellent location. I'm average...continued

My husband and I both loved this musical! I found it very moving. The set and lighting were spectacular. The thought of this punk rocker's music being converted into a musical was very inspirational. Being familiar with Green Day, I loved how...continued

It was a very good show. My only issue was that in our side mezzanine seats, our view of the stage was partially obstructed by the speakers used on the left hand side of the stage. My companion never actually saw any of the performers siting on...continued

Talented cast but my wife and I did not like the show.
Basically we thought they took some rock music from Green Day and attempted to made a show out of it. Not very creative and very disappointing.
Also the words of the songs were extremely...continued

The show was really good. Solid performances for 90 minutes, nonstop. Started out a bit shaky but got better as it progressed.
I was surprised to see a few kids in the audience. The subject matter (sex, drugs and rock & roll) is definitely for...continued
