I liked the play, BUT, it is the most UNCOMFORTABLE SEATING I have ever had. It could have been just as good in a more normal staging, it did not add anything to the production, only took away.

Clever set mimics cockfighting ring. However it makes for tough access and less than comfortable seats. Play itself is clever, fast-paced, brilliantly acted (although staging and British dialect make them a bit hard to understand at times). ...continued

New actor played John. Right up there with the actor I saw at a preview. See the play!

Intense...be prepared for strong accents....well staged and thought through.
Gripping, yet you want to slap a character upside the head and say.."snap out of it."

Funny, insightful, and raw look at how much we rely on others to define ourselves. Love, or the idea of love, is the constant debate and continues to be until the very end. Ultimately, it makes you question your own self love and how it defines...continued

For several years now we have been attending "small theaters" in the Chicagoland area. Our experiences so far at them are: always impressed with what they can accomplish with limited attendance/funding; mostly impressed with the acting; sometimes...continued

Fantastic play! Brisk, funny, sharp, raw, audacious. Clever stage design; excellent, fearless performances; shrewd, dynamic script.

Seating is open and unassigned. There are no bad seats in the house. The play runs just over 80 minutes with no...continued

Profiles is famous for making the most of its small space with hard-hitting plays and this production is no exception. The performance is tight and nuanced, with the struggle to come to terms with one's own sexuality and yearnings the central...continued

Fair show. Intriguing script and interesting concept. However execution seem off. Some characters felt like caricatures instead of real people. This made it difficult to connect with the subject matter at times.

It's okay -- dramatic and comedic values will give you a reasonably satisfying night out, just not too far out. As the playwright explains in the program notes, this play was inspired by a rather narrow subculture of gay men who claim they've had...continued

Though the acting was brilliant. The story of this man and woman fighting over a guy (that personally I wouldn't have had time for) who was just a weak, confused, irritating, whining, pain in the ass was beyond hard to believe.

After seeing this play in London (2009) and New York (2012), its substance still resonates profoundly in modern-day human behaviors. All four actors were brilliant; they did not lose a beat in this funny and fast-paced play.

Fascinating, disturbing, funny study on relationships. Interesting staging in a cockfight ring. Strong acting. Highly recommended.

An excellent production of a really good play. The acting is top-notch and the set design is amazing. Profiles, which consistently does excellent work, has topped themselves with this one. DO NOT MISS IT!
