Actors portrayed a believable cast of CPS teachers and principal. The story was interesting and entertaining; a MUST SEE for any CPS teacher!
Small venue made the performance even more enjoyable.

Great writing, great cast, humorous. Audience comprised mainly of teachers, which I'm not, but was motivated to go because it dealt with our public schools. Unclear to me what I'm supposed to think of each of the characters or how to address...continued

So, so writing but not universal enough. You might enjoy it if you are, or have been a CPS teacher. the acting was the best thing about limited play. Better writing could have made this a good play.

Unless you are a teacher or former teacher don't even think about going.

Stellar performances, but the play itself falls into the "preaching to the converted" category.

Excellent play. A very timely portrayal of standardized testing programs and innercity teachers who are bound by them. The acting was great. Without it feeling forced, there were multiple teacher types portrayed. The kind of play that will get...continued

I saw "Principal, Principal" with my daughter who is a teacher in the CPS system. We both enjoyed it very much. It tackles some very serious issues in education while being pretty funny as well. My daughter commented that rather than seeing...continued

A Great story that highlighted many complex themes in the field of education...as well as the 'reform' nuances. The biggest challenge with this production is the lack of community talk back post show. So many ideas are surfaced, a formal talkback...continued

Good material that needs to be heard. It paints a tragically accurate picture of the frustrations of the educational system, especially in our current era of high-stakes standardized tests.

Strong performances generally. The writing of the play...continued

This was excellent theater, both the play and the acting. Being a retired teacher, the poignant story affected me strongly. Drama is part of capturing a class in order to
lead the students into discussion and in no way interferes
with the goal...continued

This play was a portrayal of the working environment in an urban public high school, especially dealing with the pressures of testing and teacher evaluation. The playwright had been a Chicago Public School teacher and he wrote from his experience....continued

It was an excellent play about CPS. I am a retired teacher, so it was almost painful to watch.

The show was great! The cast acts very well. Having worked in CPS for a couple of years, I found myself nodding in agreement the whole time. Small theater so any seat is a good one, and parking is free after 6pm right on Belmont so it's wonderful....continued
