Five-time Grammy-winner Michael McDonald's smooth soul baritone, stellar songwriting and distinctive look have made him a pop-music icon ever since he broke through with the Doobie Brothers in 1975. His tenure with the group produced major hits like "Real Love," "Takin' It to the Streets" and "What a Fool Believes," among others. And even after going solo in 1982, he manned the top of the charts with tunes like "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)," "Yah Mo B There," "Sweet Freedom" and "On My Own," his No. 1 duet with Patti LaBelle. Since then, he continues to blaze new trails, with projects ranging from a platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated album of Motown covers to a tour with Donald Fagen and Boz Scaggs and even a guest appearance with indie rockers Grizzly Bear. He'll play his favorites and more when he hits The Canyon for this concert. Learn More

Jefferson Starship played from it's roots throughout it's entire set, taking several pieces from the track of Surrealistic Pillow. The only exception was a driving song written by Richardson and performed by her with her powerful voice.
Highlights of the night included the band leaving Gold alone on the stage for five minutes while he performed his version of Jorma Kaukonen's "Embryonic Journey." Gold made it his own, extending and expanding the piece with some great riffs on his guitar...
Paul Kantner and David Freiberg were the only part of the band harkening back to their beginnings but they delivered well and powerfully, especially a couple of pieces sung by David Freiberg...rang to the rafters in the club....
