Alt rock band Soul Asylum started out in Minneapolis and later rocketed to international acclaim with their 1992 platinum album Grave Dancer's Union. The track "Runaway Train" earned the band a Grammy for Best Rock Song, in 1994. Let Your Dim Light Shine followed, with the #1 hit "Misery," and then Candy From a Stranger and The Silver Lining. They've just released a new disc, No Fun Intended, the first of four planned punk cover EPs. See them live at the Canyon, after an opening set by Dizzylilacs.
