Rebecca Parris and her illustrious trio were the cat's whiskers. They were entertaining, relaxed, great musicianship and rapport with the audience.
The only thing which would have made the concert better would have been chair service.

Quotes & Highlights

“Parris gives fresh life to standards and a new gleam to superb, lesser-known gems. Her intelligence, class, and masterful musicianship have long been respected among her peers.” —
“Her voice sets her apart from any other vocalist on record today. A mood that transcends the ordinary, that in one moment exudes warmth and is poignant, in another driving hard and swinging.” —Shirley Horn
“Best of all, she sings with power, conviction, originality, total believability. She is that rare bird: the true jazz singer with the soul of an entertainer.” —Jazztimes
