Theater Emory presents Macbeth: A Technological Take on Shakespeare's Tragedy
Shakespeare's Macbeth gets a uniquely modern spin in this Theater Emory production of the master playwright's darkest and most powerful tragedy. Set in a militaristic environment with special digital projections, this contemporary staging adds a technological touch to the intensely dramatic story of an ambitious general who, spurred on by his wife and three witches, murders the popular King Duncan and must then contend with both his conscience and a quickly-escalating conspiracy. This production features music direction by composer Bryan Mercer, a cast and crew made up of both professionals and students, plus local theater performer and director Clinton Wade Thornton at the helm.
