Girl Talk, MGMT ("Kids") & More: Party in the Park
Kick off the summer concert season at Centennial Park with an outdoor fest featuring an amazing lineup of indie dance specialists, headed up by Girl Talk and MGMT, along with a vendor village, food court and more. Master mash-up artist Gregg Gillis is Girl Talk, who's set to release another of his signature "pop collage" albums this year, following the success of Feed the Animals and All Day. He's also gotten crowds grooving at major festivals like Coachella, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and more. Psychedelic rockers MGMT were nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy in 2010, off their debut disc Oracular Spectacular, which spawned the hit single "Kids." They've opened for Sir Paul McCartney, appeared on Letterman and Fallon and scored a coveted spot as the musical guest on SNL. Their latest release is a self-titled disc from 2013. Also on this jam-packed bill are Welsh indie rockers The Joy Formidable, Seattle alt band Minus the Bear and Atlanta's own synth-dance specialists Stokeswood.
