In an attempt to save their fading relationship, Queenie and her lover Burrs decide to throw the party to end all parties. But in The Wild Party, things quickly get out of hand when Queenie catches the eye of a new man and Burrs, a vaudeville clown with a violent streak, gets jealous. Based on a 1928 narrative poem, The Wild Party is full of the frenetic energy and fatalistic attitude of the prohibition era. Written by Andrew Lippa, who also wrote songs for The Addams Family and Big Fish Broadway musicals, the production lets you relive the excitement of the '20s, complete with plenty of gin and sin. If you purchase tickets for the April 24 preview show you'll have the chance to watch the final dress rehearsal before the opening, enjoy a wine and cheese reception with director Michael Hartsfield, participate in a special "talk-back" session after the performance with the actors and receive a complimentary copy of The Wild Party narrative poem the show was based on.
