Touring in anticipation of their next album release, Redlight King brings their live show to Baltimore Soundstage. The band is the brainchild of Mark Kasprzyk, aka "Kazzer," the popular Canadian rocker whose song "Pedal to the Metal" was a hit on MuchMusic, MTV Europe and Canadian radio. Combining rock with hip-hop samples, Redlight King draws on a wide range of Kazzer's influences, from Bruce Springsteen to A Tribe Called Quest and Nas. Redlight King's U.S. debut was the album Something for the Pain
. The album had critics buzzing over the song "Old Man," which sampled the 1972 Neil Young song (the first sample permission ever granted by Young) and backed it with a hip-hop beat. Redlight King's second album is in the works, so you just may hear some new material at this show, which also features the bands Icon For Hire, Big B and Fatally Yours.
