Solitary Man: A Visit to Pelican Bay State Prison
Black Repertory Group performs Solitary Man, a two-person play. In it, Charlie travels to Crescent City to visit a lifer named Otis Washington. Otis is a 64-year-old native of New York City who's been imprisoned since 1975 and at the notorious Pelican Bay since it opened in 1989. During the visit, Otis explains some of what he has learned and experienced. There will be a panel discussion following the performance.
