Experimental Classical Ensemble wild UP
Adventurous L.A.-based chamber orchestra wild Up delivers visceral, thought-provoking musical happenings. The New York Times calls their sound "raucous, grungy" and "irresistibly exuberant." Summed up in their own words, the modern music collective performs music both old and new -- "We'll play it, as long as we love it." For its Wallis debut, wild Up will explore music from Ancient India, modern California, post-war New York, as well as American works that reflect on a future form of music rooted in folk ethos. Conductor Christopher Rountree directs this Future Folk concert at Bram Goldsmith Theater.
