Zurich Chamber Orchestra With Daniel Hope
Hailed as "adventurous and brilliant" by The New York Times, British violinist Daniel Hope is famed for his stylistic versatility, which he'll no doubt put to good use as the first instrumentalist ever to be named Music Director of the acclaimed Zurich Chamber Orchestra. In fact, this concert at The Wallis in Beverly Hills kicks off with the classic The Four Seasons, and then follows that up with contemporary composer Max Richter's re-composition of that Vivaldi masterpiece in modern, post-minimalist style. Hope released For Seasons in 2017, inspired by his childhood memory of hearing his mentor Yehudi Menuhin perform Vivaldi with ... none other than the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. As he recently recalled, "It made such a profound impression ... that Menuhin was able to conjure up birdsong and the sounds of the elements on the violin. I was riveted from the first second."
