Boston Baroque: Beethoven's Fidelio
Beethoven's only opera is a compelling story of political oppression, the fight for justice and the triumph of love. Boston's first-ever period instrument performance of this work comes courtesy of Boston Baroque, now in its 45th season. This exciting premiere also features an internationally renowned cast that includes tenor William Burden and soprano Wendy Bryn Harmer from the Metropolitan Opera. See it performed in its original German with English supertitles at NEC's Jordan Hall.
