The dancing was very engaging; the young dancers were impressive; but the organization of the event left a lot to be desired. It was almost impossible to get any information about the program, the timing, etc. and the time on the ticket and in the PR was different from the starting times at the theater. Lots of wasted time, standing around, milling, and wondering. Come on folks - it's not rocket science - AND it was poorly attended, which leads me to believe that the PR and marketing was very poor. I only found out about it by accident. I would have thought that Boston Ballet would have done a significant blitz about it.

I would recommend going on the finals on Sunday morning. The event started 30 minutes late but I heard the performance was a lot better than the qualifying round on Fri and Sat. The youth division is talented but boring if you have been watch...continued
Friday, June 15 at 2:00pm: Opening Ceremony; 3:00pm Competition Starts.(Competition lasts from 3pm to approx. 10pm. Ticket good for all day.)
Saturday, June 16 at 10:00am: Competition Resumes (Competition lasts from 10am to approx. 10pm. Ticket good for all day.)
Sunday June 17 at 10:00am: Competition Finals closing at 2:00pm.
Sunday June 17 at 5:30pm: Prize Ceremony; 6:00pm Gala Ceremony.
