Concert Featuring Works of Bach's Son, Carl
The Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms Society kicks off their 2018-19 season at Boston's historic Faneuil Hall with a concert featuring its three namesake composers as well as another major "B" - cellist Natasha Brofsky. Renowned as a teacher at Juilliard (and formerly the New England Conservatory for more than a decade), Brofsky is highly sought as a soloist and chamber musician and is well-known as the cellist for the award-winning Peabody Trio. The guest artist joins the orchestra, led by music director Steven Lipsitt, in a performance of C.P.E. Bach's Cello Concerto in A Major, a bold composition that helped bridge the Baroque and Classical eras in music.
