Deathtrap: Twisty Thriller by Ira Levin at Bowie Playhouse
Ira Levin's wickedly clever and funny thriller, which ran for more than 4 years in its original Broadway production and was nominated for a 1978 Tony Award for Best Play, tells the story of Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of thrillers whose recent offerings have been flops. Now prepared to go to any lengths for another hit, Bruhl collaborates with a college student, leading him into a web of deceit. Containing numerous twists and turns and more than a few scares, Deathtrap became a 1982 movie with Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve.
