Tommy Davidson was funny but seemed to adlib his own thing all night.. Started out kind of slow and immature.. Picked up later during the show.. Still, I have seen better..

The Improv is such a great venue. The talent...both newbies and seasoned comedians always crack us up! The staff is very friendly and accommodating!
We will be back ...with our group of ten...or maybe more!

Description

An actor, stand-up comedian, songwriter, and singer, Davidson’s exceptional range has made him a rising force in entertainment. Perhaps best known as one of the original cast members of the hit television show In Living Color, Davidson has parlayed that success into a flourishing motion picture career.

Davidson started out performing at many small clubs when he met Robert Townsend and Keenen Ivory Wayans, who would later prove instrumental in Davidson’s career. Wayans offered him the opportunity to audition for a primetime variety show called In Living Color, which became a cult favorite and a huge ratings success. Davidson’s hilarious impressions of Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Jackson, and others have become legend.

In Living Color led to three Showtime specials and a reunion with fellow In Living Color alum, Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura II: When Nature Calls. Davidson also appeared on MAD TV and The Bernie Mac Show. Currently Davidson can be seen cracking jokes and doing what he does best, making people laugh, in The Fox NFL Show.

Davidson made an impressive film debut opposite Halle Berry in Strictly Business. His other film credits include Spike Lee’s Bamboozled, in which he received acclaim for his starring role as Womack/Sleep ’N Eats, a character which showcased his comedic and dramatic acting abilities. Davidson was also in Juwanna Mann, Booty Call, and starred opposite Jada Pinkett Smith in the New Line romantic comedy Woo.
