Show was astonishingly great. Anyone who loves folk music and hasn't seen it yet should try and see it before it leaves Sunday. One of the cast was being replaced by the understudy beginning today, and from hearing her at the post-show hootenany, she should be good too.
We didn't know that the evening we selected included a hootenany. What luck! (Sorry, they're over. Last night was the last one).

The lead was great and the story line was good. However, the other three weren't up to the venue. Their voices were too weak for the hall. I wasn't sitting too far from the stage. Their instrument playing was adequate, but also too faint.
Woody Guthrie is a musical hero of legendary proportion who transformed folk music into a vehicle for social protest and evoked the restless spirit of the Dust Bowl generation. _ Woody Sez_ brings the giant to life in a joyous, toe-tapping, and heartfelt theatrical portrait that uses Woody’s words and songs to transport the audience through his fascinating, beautiful, and sometimes tragic life. Featuring many classic Woody tunes including “This Land is Your Land” and “Bound for Glory,” Woody Sez captures the heart and spirit of Woody Guthrie and the stories of America.
