Description

Lamont Ferguson is no stranger to the bright lights of the stage. He began his comedy at the age of 17 at the Comedy Store in La Jolla. The list of credits he has amassed since is rather impressive, including 2005 Winner of the Seattle International Comedy Festival. He has been twice named San Diego Comic of the Year, voted L.A.’s Hottest Comic, and twice named in the Top Ten Comics at the Boston Comedy Festival. He was recently invited to the Halifax Comedy Festival, and he was a finalist in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, which lists him along with other finalists that include Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, Sinbad, Kevin Pollak, Dane Cook, Mark Curry, Marsha Warfield, and Rob Schneider.

Ferguson is also the creator/director/executive producer/head writer for the West Coast Funnies (formerly the North County Funnies). The comedy variety show is now in its fifth year of production.

The Popsicles and Wal-Mart comedy concert is Ferguson’s first in 2 1/2 years. Ferguson’s last concert performance in Carlsbad was the filming of his DVD Cranky.
