A very fine production,capturing the early 1950's in a New York neighborhood and its 'characters' and its very real people,such as the two families involved in an impending wedding and all that surrounds it,expected and unexpected.The cast and staging,set,and small mghty band are 1st Rate.Finnegan's APRICOT BLOSSOMS song is one of those unforgettable experiences in life and theater.I saw the Broadway production and liked it very much and Porchlight's production digs even deeper into this underrated show.John Bocchino's songs are delightful,very individual(not generic) and Harvey Fierstein's book is heartfelt and lively.Not to be missed.
