Amy Herzog's Nail-Biting Thriller Belleville Reviews & Ratings
excellent acting a pleasure to see
The play not realistic too large a set for the neighbourhood, where did monry come from for 3 years and so on
The entire play unfolds very slowly, yet it captivated me immediately. I've seen it compared to a Hitchcock movie, and don't disagree. Acting was great, too.report as inappropriate
Belleville was one of the worst plays I have seen in many years. If I wasn't in the middle of a row I would have walked out after about an hour.
I am puzzled by Steppenwolf, they usually have fine productions.
I would give it 4.5 stars. I thought it idid a great job dealing with issues of lying to oneself, lying to others and unrealistic expectationsreport as inappropriate
Wonderful acting! Script was not what I was expecting, but I think that was rather the point. No psycho action needed. The really frightening part of the play is how people misunderstand each other.report as inappropriate
