This fun "urban safari", led by an experienced and entertaining storytelling guide, lets you in on Chicago's "secret weapon" against the elements -- the covered and heated Pedway (Pedestrian Walkway). The walking tour includes 80% of the Pedway's 40 blocks of tunnels, concourses, skyway bridges, shops, food courts and train stations, and introduces you to its fascinating history, along with serving up some juicy lore on some of the city's more colorful characters. There's also an option for a food tour, which includes samples of some signature Windy City treats, including a Chicago-style hot dog. Learn More

It wasn't bad. There were many pieces of interesting information. The trivia questions were great. However, the male guide looked and sounded overexcited. I much preferred the female guide, although she needs to talk louder. It would have been really awesome if the circuit had included a dinner at Tommy Gun's Garage Restaurant, on Wabash, in the South Loop. That experience would have been very memorable, and would have given us with a more real and emotional taste of the Roaring Twenties. And please, more Dixieland and Swing old Jazz music! The restaurant by the river had an orchestra performing regular, modern jazz, not related with that era.
