From uproarious comedies like The Odd Couple to hard-hitting dramas like The China Syndrome, Jack Lemmon was one of the most versatile actors of his generation. Now, his distinctive voice returns to the stage as son Chris Lemmon portrays his father in a new solo show exploring his unlikely journey from Newton, Mass. to becoming the first actor ever to win the Oscar for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Trained in classical piano, Chris Lemmon's music-filled performance is a celebration of one of Hollywood's greatest legends, and an exploration of a fascinating relationship between father and son. The show is written and directed by Hershey Felder, whose one man productions -- including George Gershwin Alone, Maestro Bernstein and last season's smash hit Mona Golabek in The Pianist of Willesden Lane -- have played to great acclaim worldwide. The performance was entertaining and fun. Many members of the audience were seasoned participators in Vicki Quade's interactive performance style and enthusiastically joined in the fun ad-libbing with her. The prizes were great. Such nostalgic memories of Christmas in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Even the smaller children seemed to delight in the bingo bantering.
