First, let me say that I rated this 4 (max) stars but for some reason this site is having trouble accepting anything above "liked it." Anyway, the Valentine's Day dinner cruise was excellent! We were seated on the upper deck at the front of the boat right next to the windows overlooking the city and the western half of the pier. Ours was a table of eight but only four (us included) were seated there, so we found it quite comfortable. The door to the outer deck was right behind us, so we found it very convenient to go outside when we wanted, and yet out of the way of the crowds, which were mostly downstairs on the dance floor.
The food was great and included beef, chicken and fish, along with a reasonable salad bar, a tasty rice dish and other veggie options (plus dinner rolls). Dessert included turtle cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, chocolate brownies, plus sliced cantaloupe and small rice crispy triangles next to a large dish of warm dipping chocolate...nummm! There was also a full bar (not sure about the prices as my date paid for them) and a complimentary champagne toast.
The wait staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. Our package included a free 5x7 photo to commemorate our evening. It was presented to us in a nice frame (not the flimsy cardboard kind - it was cardboard, but tasteful, not flimsy). The resolution of the pic was a bit grainy, but they also offered the same pic digitally via email (which I'll be sending for shortly).
As for the boat itself, it was very well kept. The bathrooms looked "normal" as in not your typical "boat" latrine. Kohler fixtures, decent water pressure, not smelly...nice. Everything appeared clean and in good working order. Life jackets were readily available yet inconspicuously stowed above the tables (similar to overhead bins on aircraft but with neat cloth curtains to conceal them, and not nearly as low or noticeable).
The cruise itself stayed within the breakwater and went north to about the Hancock and south to the Sears. We went back and forth three times before coming back in to the Pier. All in all, we had a great time and I'd highly recommend this cruise to anyone considering it!
