The 30-Year Gap Explores Being Gay in the '70s Versus the 2000s
George and Chris came of age in two vastly different eras, two vastly different Chicagos. George was just reaching adulthood in 1978 and was forced to keep his sexuality "in the closet" for most of his life. His nephew Chris is free and open with his sexuality as he reaches adulthood in 2008. The two men learn from each other what it means to be honest, and the true price of hiding your heart to save your life. Part tragedy, part comedy, part frank conversation, The 30-Year Gap explores the effects of a changing political landscape on the inner lives of two men who have much more in common than the world would ever know.
