The Last Hand: World-Premiere Gang Drama Set in Chicago
In this contemporary drama of loyalty and betrayal set on Chicago's West side, a young gang member desperately wants to pursue his dreams of being a rapper and avoid a future on the streets. His friend, a toughened veteran, hopes to find redemption in helping him get out alive, even as they find themselves trapped in a culture of seemingly inescapable violence. This world premiere by Chicago playwright Richard James Zieman goes beyond the headlines to take a hard look at the real human cost of the gangster life.
