Excellent production; fantastic story line; superb acting. Very enjoyable and poignant. Both actors and background artists were at the top of their game. Music added a great dimension. I'd see it again.

The set was incredibly unique. The singing, acting and dialog were wonderfully executed. The orchestra ensemble was fantastic!

The actors were great .
The live musicians were great...but
The play was pretentious and boring
And the music completely forgettable.

Quotes & Highlights

The Story of My Life ran on Broadway in 2009. The Associated Press called Bartram’s lyrics “nimble, often intricate but never too complicated.” And Kathie Lee Gifford on The Today Show called the show “the kind of thing that really uplifts you in the times that we live in today.”

Music & Lyrics by Neil Bartram

Book by Brian Hill

Directed by Richard Maltby, Jr_

__The Story of My Life _tells the story of two childhood friends and how their friendship profoundly defined their lives. Thomas Weaver is a best-selling, award-winning author. Alvin Kelby was his best friend for 30 years. But time can test the bonds of friendship, and when it does, Thomas calls on the only resource he has — his stories of Alvin — to learn where things went wrong. A richly melodic musical, The Story of My Life is a soaring tribute to the power of friendship and the people who change our lives forever.
