The Washington Ballet previews its upcoming world premiere of The Little Prince. The Washington Ballet Studio Company will be bringing in a company of 25 including Septime Webre, director, Alexandre Poira, choreographer, along with staff, crew, and dancers. Also included in the program will be excerpts from the classical repertoire “Grand Pas Classique,” “Flower Festival” pas de deux, and excerpts from “Blue Until June.”

Choreographed by Alexandre Proia, Principal Dancer with The New York City Ballet.  (Mr. Proia will be present at the performances.) The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic tale of innocence, tells the story of an aviator, whose damaged plane strands him in the Sahara Desert.  The Aviator meets the most interesting companion, a lonely Little Prince from another planet, who left his home to explore other planets, eventually landing on planet Earth. The Little Prince shares his adventures with his new friend.  When the Little Prince and the Aviator part ways, each leaves with a new found appreciation of love, friendship, and the importance of living a rich, full life. Experience this touching and endearing story filled with lessons about love and life.
