See How They Run: Classic British Farce From Lamb's Players Theatre
Lamb's Players Theatre presents the classic comedy See How they Run, by British playwright Philip King. This popular play rushes headlong into humor with all the hallmarks of a proper British farce, including characters showing up unexpectedly, mistaken identities, perfectly timed entrances and exits and a tangle of clergymen and police. A glamorous former actress, now married to a vicar, receives a visit from a former co-star, now an American serviceman. In order to dodge Army regulations, he borrows the vicar's suit, complete with clerical collar. This leads to comical cases of mistaken identity made even more chaotic when a Russian spy and a visiting vicar also arrive unexpectedly and everyone ends up wearing the vicar's clothes. One of the funniest plays of the 20th century, this hilarious caper provides ample opportunity for the talented actors of Lamb's Players Theatre to show off their physical comedy expertise.
