$35 - $150
After charting scores of hits, snagging a Grammy, and defining the soft rock-sound of the '70s, America, one of the most iconic bands of the past 40 years, joins the Pacific Symphony Pops for a concert of hits, ballads and out-and-out classics. Founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell will collaborate with the orchestra on signature tunes like "A Horse with No Name," "Ventura Highway," "Lonely People," "Sister Golden Hair," and more. To open the evening, Maestro Richard Kaufman will conduct a lineup of light classics, including a John Williams' march and the foot-stomping "Rock Around the Clock." Tenor Grant Yosenick, winner of Pacific Symphony's OC Can You Sing? contest, will also perform of "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables, the show-stopping number that earned him a return to the Symphony's stage.
