The performance was absolutely fabulous. I've seen both the Moiseyev Dance Company, the Ukrainian Dance Company and expected a similar troupe. However, this was better than I expected and I was very pleased with my seats. My only complaint was that my binoculars weren't wide enough to see the entire stage at the same time.

The men were the pinnacle of athleticism, technique, bravado. The women were the pinnacle of grace, floating across the floor. If the music was a bit repetitious and droning, the dancing was a tour de force of skill. Practice makes perfect.
Founded in 1945 in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia, the Georgian State Dance Company is one of the greatest institutions in the field of Eastern European folk dance. Over the last six decades, they’ve performed for over fifty million people in 87 countries. See them at the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s Segerstrom Hall.
