I wore a silk suit and my husband wore a dress jacket and pants. People are dressing rather sloppy for the theater lately. It is a special place and I enjoy seeing the folks dressed up. It makes it seem more special..

Mitsua Market on Paularino, 1.5 blocks east of Bristol on the South side of the 405 has a great food court with all kinds of Japanese Food available. The market has a great "to-go" sushi fare and in the early evening most of the sushi, made that afternoon, is marked down for a quick sale. I especially like the noodle shop closest to the check out stands of the Market, and their spicy Pork Noodles are terrific. More expensive and the best in the food court is the noodle shop in the middle of the court, about 3 stalls to the right of the first noodle shop, to the right of it, is a stall that has a great tempura, teriyaki combo, that I've enjoyed for years. Mitsua Market has wonderful desserts with shops specializing in frozen mochi and pastries, as well as fare only found in Japan. In fact, going to Mitsua is to be transported to an authentic Japanese SuperMarket and Food Court.

The cast was great (especially Gomez), but the musical itself was not one of my favorites. There was humor, but it wasn't dark enough. Also, the story just seemed to drag along, as the first act was much better than the second.

Hated it. True Addams family fans will be annoyed.

I really disliked this interpretation of most of the Addams characters. Gomez's accent was incredibly cheesy and annoying, and the extremely cheery un-Wednesday Addams demeanor was so off for her character and her lack of trademark braided...continued

Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, this smash Broadway hit brings the darkly delirious world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and, of course, Lurch to spooky and spectacular life.

Tony Award nominee Douglas Sills and Sara Gettelfinger will star as Gomez and Morticia in a principal cast that also includes Tony Award nominee Martin Vidnovic as Mal Beineke, Gaelen Gilliland as Alice Beineke, Blake Hammond as Uncle Fester, Pippa Pearthree as Grandma, Tom Corbeil as Lurch, Patrick D. Kennedy as Pugsley, Curtis Holbrook as Lucas Beineke, and Cortney Wolfson as Wednesday.

Portraying the ancestors are Sara Andreas, Lauryn Ciardullo, Steve Geary, Victoria Huston-Elem, Megan Jimenez, Patrick Oliver Jones, Lizzie Klemperer, Michelle Marmolejo, Christy Morton, Brad Nacht, Jonathan Ritter, Murray Rundus, Roland Rusinek, Matthew Schmidt and Geo Seery.

The Addams Family features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
