The dangers of workplace romances are explored to hysterical effect in this revival of the 1954 musical. At the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory, sparks fly between superintendent Sid Sorokin and union leader Babe Williams. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a pay increase, setting off a conflict between management and labor, not to mention a battle of the sexes. A true slice-of-'50s-era-life, the still-resonant storyline also boasts a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, featuring songs like "Steam Heat," "Hey There" and "Hernando's Hideaway." This fun musical won a Tony during its original run and another in 2006 when it was revived on Broadway.
