This is a great show with a contemporary flair. Val Kilmer did a really nice job writing and performing. He was only several feet away when he came up in the audience and you would never know that he was only 53. We saw the Hal Holbrook show...continued

It was rather amateurish. He mixed in current references. I feel he should have stuck to the real comments of Mark Twain for the 19th century.

Didn't love it, not sure why. Love Mark Twain writings, don't know Val Killmer as an actor.
Hearing device not working and I missed many punch lines. Judging from the reaction of the audience I was "odd man out." I ama hard to please.

The acting and make up was geat. The story so,so. I went to see it because it was Val Kilmer. I really don't like any of Twain's work.

Entertaining performance comprised of Twain quips and aphorisms with 2 longer "stories" from Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. Kilmer does a great job bringing the character to life. Hard to go wrong quoting Twain. But if I had some criticisms it...continued

Totally enjoyed the script and the presentation. Great tix from Goldstar, and I even got free "Doris Day Parking" right across the street from the theatre...(not usually the case)
I may even go see it again when he moves over to the Pasadena...continued

Loved it. Absolutely great theatre. My friend fell asleep ... Which shocked me. Sometimes a little difficult to hear everything .. However for me it was excellent.

I loved the play. Val Kilmer is an awesome actor! We got to see him before the play started. He was mingling with his audience 20 mins before it started. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Val Kilmer is a master and apparently has been developing this project for years.
I had no ide he had written and directed it at well and I thought it was flawless. The Q&A afterwards enabled the audience to contribute making for a very...continued

Val Kilmer's one man play, Citizen Twain, was a hit with me. It seems the common complaint is that there was no storyline or that it "jumped around". I think that's the point. It's not supposed to be linear. When you're remembering events from...continued

Val Kilmer was excellent as Mark Twain. He used Twain's humor integrated with current events. Many skits were extracted from Twain's writings and life events. Good mix of 19th century humor and commentary with 21st century events. Shows how social...continued

While Val Kilmer's talent as an actor is undeniable, I feel he needs help as a scriptwriter. The play had no storyline. At first, it seemed it was going to be a stand-up comedy routine starring Mark Twain but then he started rambling on, albeit...continued

It was really an awesome experience to see Val Kilmer perform. I had a seat on the aisle, which (for once) was completely worth it... (you will know what I mean when you go) I would take your seats 10 minutes before the show starts. Also, since...continued

My son and I were looking forward to this show. We were a little worried that we would be disappointed since we are big Twain fans and have seen many takes on the the Twain character. But we were both entertained before, during and after Kilmer's...continued

Great show and venue. Val Kilmer was amazing. A must see. More than just quotes and anecdotes as you might expect.

At the very least, an interesting night at the theater. Val Kilmer was very engaging and the show was unique. It wasn't a period piece because the play starts with Nirvana music playing and he talks about Paula Deen being a racist. The audience...continued

excellent performance from Kilmer. Story is a bit disjointed. Need to decide if he wants to tell the story of Samuel Clements or Mark Twain. Both good stories but two much to tell in 1.5 hours.
