For a comedy glam-rock band, Steel Panther manages to tell a joke with a surprisingly straight face, jamming out over-the-top sleazy hair metal in a way that is equal parts caricature and homage. Sporting cheetah-print spandex and at least a can of hair spray apiece, the glam metal aficionados have built a massive fan base over the past decade with raucous performances of original songs like "Stripper Girl" and "It Won't Suck Itself." But these eyeliner-wearing dudes also have street cred -- its members have played in bands like L.A. Guns and they've opened for Guns N' Roses, plus luminaries from Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and KISS's Paul Stanley to Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello have all rocked out with the Panther on stage. Expect a lot of gnarly guitar licks and nothin' but a nasty good time when they come to the House of Blues in Dallas.
