Considered British playwright Terrence Rattigan's "lost play," which only saw its professional world premiere in London almost 80 years after it was written, Less Than Kind brilliantly captures the flavor of WWII in England with a masterful mix of sparkling comedy and idealized post-war hopes. In the romantic comedy, a dashing senior minister enjoys an affair with an enchanting widow in 1944 London. But when the widow's teenage son returns home from Canada and discovers the minister's immorality and his mother's "mistress" status, he's horrified -- and starts his own war at home. Learn More
In 1917 three of the twentieth century’s most crucial revolutionaries – author James Joyce, Tristan Tzara, the founder of the Dada art movement, and political revolutionary Lenin – were all living in Zurich. Stoppard spins this historical coincidence into a hysterically madcap speculative portrait of what their meeting might have engendered in this knockout comedy, tumbling from Stoppard’s comic-imagination-on-steroid intellect.
